Effects of riding e-Jeepney in human behaviour

We do know that human and all living things adapt in manner depends on their environment. It's part of the survival instinct that would allow living things to continually exist.

This introduction thus have something to say with what the title of this article.

What I'm saying is that the change from what we are accustom to is part of environment that we are living in and for us to survive we need to adapt. In this case, we need to adapt with the changes in our transportation system from fuel to electric.

Like in the old adage "change is inevitable" as such we can't escape the changes happening in our environment. The only way to survive is to adapt and the common denominator here is to accept and learn to embrace it.

There's no point to resist it as that would definitely going to happen and it's destined to happen. Don't even exert an effort as that would only put to waste.

Surely, this change has more pros than cons (as much as I can observe). Ultimately, the beneficiary of these changes is us. We as human and all living things that need to exist to continue the life form on earth.

Regardless of what we believe in, make sure it is not for selfish motive but instead for the benefit of mankind.

Pope Francis in the Philippines 2015

I just wanted to share the experience I had with
Pope Francis. This is a picture trying to get a glimpse of him in personal. Though, it's far but the moment you know you see him flesh is a blessing enough for me.

Pope Francis was in the Philippines last Jan 15 - 19, 2015. I was at work when he had a schedule "Encounter with Family" in SM MOA Arena, Pasay. I'm blessed that I don't have to wait that long just to take a picture of him since my office is just beside the Arena.

Philippine Emergency Numbers

In this day an age, it's better to have everything ready. From stock of foods to spare batteries and also important telephone numbers to call in case of emergency. As a concern netizen, I'd like to share this set of hotlines, which I think summarize almost all the numbers that we should be aware of. Let's all do our part to help our country in any ways we can. I know Filipino can withstand any trials that comes on it's way. Let's all have never say die spirit.

July 4th - American-Philippine Friendship day

Philippine-American Friendship Day
Filipino-American Friendship Day, July 4, is a day in the Philippines designated by President Diosdado Macapagal to commemorate the liberation of the country by joint Filipino and American forces from the Japanese occupation at the end of World War II.

The Philippines was a U.S. territory from 1898 to 1941, when it was occupied by Japanese forces, and again by Americans for a brief period after the war. The country gained complete independence on July 4, 1946.

Initially, the nation's Independence Day holiday (Araw ng Kalayaan) was held on July 4. Former President Diosdado Macapagal moved it to June 12, the date on which the Philippines had declared independence from Spain in 1898. Filipino-American Friendship Day was created in its place, and it coincides with the United States's Independence Day on July 4th.

Wind Mills in Ilocos, Norte Philippines

Wind Mills

The Bangui Wind Mills were built by the NorthWind Power Development Corporation to take its share in reducing the emission of harmful greenhouse gases (GHGs) causing global warming and to accelerate the rural electrification of the goverment.

In this area, wind mostly comes from the north-east, from the sea towards the land. To optimize the full benefit of the winds, turbines are installed along the shore facing the sea effectively removing wind breaks and achieving a terrain roughness of class 0.

The 'Wind Farm" as it is aptly called consist of 15 wind turbines. The turbines are on-shore and arranged in a single row spaced 326 meters apart. The turbines hub height (ground level to center of nacelle - that part holding the blades) is 70 meters high (roughly equivalent to a 23 storey building), each blade is 41 meters long (just 9 meters shy of a Olympic sized pool) giving a rotor diameter of 82 meters and a wind swept area of 5,281 square meters.

Going there

From Laoag, take the Laoag - Cagayan route. About 5 minutes after Burgos town proper, a directional marker on the left side of the road will lead you to Bangui bay, which is the host of the wind turbines. This will lead you to a gravel road with a downward slope going down to the beach. Right after the first turn, you will already be awed by the sight of the wind mills, follow the road and make a right turn upon entering the beach.

Should you miss the first marker, go on and proceed to the Bangui Bay observation deck (this you will never miss, also on the left side of the road) where a picturesque view of the wind mills can be obtained. Thereafter, you can go on on the road and right before Baruyen bridge, another marker will be found leading to the wind turbines. Travel time from Laoag is about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Every body is welcome at the wind farm (you will not see any fence) and wonder at the beauty of the wind mills. Visitors are reminded, though, to --- Take nothing but pictures (and/or videos), leave nothing but footprints and retain nothing but memories.

Should you need more, than just wonder at the awesome view, students, professionals and the curious minds are welcome at the sub-station, during office hours, where somebody will always be ready to answer your questions. (source: waypoints.ph)

"Puerto Galera" beach in the Philippines

Have you been in the beaches of the Philippines? if you were, How was the experience? Was it memorable? Well, if you're going to ask me I did enjoy my beach vacation a few years back. The beach that I'm saying was Puerto Galera. The beauty of the place is just breathtaking, though I'm not a good swimmer, I enjoy the clear water of the beach and the sand. I even rode the banana boat two times, it was really fun and fearsome. I miss going to the beach, it's been few years since I had my beach vacation. If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, try to escape to a beautiful beach and have a relaxing day or even a week. I just got my photo from my friendster account, like to show it to you.

Warning: Earthquake in Philippines

Photo via FEMA

Shocked and Confused!

I just received a forwarded e-mail message about an earthquake that will happen in the Philippines, take note it has a date and the magnitude of the earthquake, it will happen July 18, 2008 at 8.1 in magnitude.

I really don't believe in such prediction not unless it was based on scientific perspective. It's not uncommon that these sort of "email chain letter" rampantly gets its way among us. You may believe or not in this prediction and be anxious with all the prophecy that they telling or rather believe what God has foretold us.

If I remember it right there's was once an earthquake that hit the Philippines, it was the year 1996 and the magnitude was 7.6. It was that strong, that I was almost get traumatized, I was a nipper and stays in Bulacan back then. I just got a picture in my mind about what I was doing when that happened, I was sitting infront of our house feeling anxious and frightened not knowing what was really happening, what I just know was that the ground that I'm sitting was moving. As a youngster you easily get confused and curious about the things that is happening to your surroundings so I ask my father as why am I moving, why is the ground moving, Well he just told me it was an earthquake and that's just it.

It's certainly alarming though if you will think about how strong the predicted earthquake that will happen in the Philippines, it's 8.1. Can you imagine the impact of this earthquake, it will indeed claim lives. I just hope and pray that this will never happen.

I have a piece of personal information about the person behind this prediction this was included in the e-mail that was sent to me:

The prediction comes from Mr. Juseleeno Nobulega DaRoose, is Brazilian, born in 1960, 47 years old now, his occupation is a teacher, he is a normal citizen, having a very poor life with his wife and kids. All the events which Mr. Juselleno predicted had clear indication of the year, month date of the disasters, incase any third party wants to confirm the facticity of his prophesy, Mr. Juselleno always put the story which he predicted to the notarization office or post office for the approval.

Here's some of the list on the historical disaster that he was able to predict:

Princess Diana's car crash accident which he predicted 5 months before it happened.

The Attack in New York Twin Tower which was September 11, 2001, He sent a letter to the President of USA, 13 years before it happened.

and other natural disasters that claimed thousands of lives.

He even has a prediction for up to year 2043.

It was really frightening though but don't be anxious and afraid about it! It's just a prediction and there's no basis if this will really happen. We just need to pray and just go on with our own lives.
